Personally, I very much dislike McMMO, so I'm going to vote no on this one. McMMO has no way of being disabled for certain users, meaning every player is forced to deal with it, whether they want to or not. McMMO has some very obnoxious sounds and chat messages that appear nearly every time you use a tool. Simply chopping down a tree will often spam you with 2-3 messages, and sometimes a chat message or two. Killing a mob causes more sounds and annoyances, and mining does the same. If you open any chest with a tool in hand, it spams the player with chat messages and sounds, as well as fireworks that go off when killing a mob shortly after. I find these effects incredibly annoying, and as I said before, they are impossible to disable. McMMO can also become quite excessive at times. The plugin was designed years ago, and was never redesigned to work with enchantments or potion effects. By using an enchanted shovel, you can reach well over level 100 in just a matter of minutes, when the plugin is designed to take hours upon hours to reach such a level. With increased levels come increased sounds, chat annoyances, and random (and extremely unrealistic) drops. For example, reaching a high level in Excavation causes random drops to clutter your inventory when collecting dirt, grass, sand, etc. The troubles don't just end with chat spamming, annoying noises, fireworks, and random drops. Every skill has it's own set of issues that become more and more apparent over time. Fishing for example, takes ages of fishing just to reach level 10, let alone level 100 or 200. Why would anyone want to spend such precious time on such a pointless cause? Maybe I'm just rambling on about the troubles I see with McMMO, but I've never enjoyed any server that has had it installed These are just my thoughts on the subject, hopefully I don't sway your consideration too much ;P

We've discussed this between us rather recently (The staff members), and have come to the "Conclusion" That we're not going to be using the suggested plugin. I don't have all of the details, but my thoughts on the matter are: It's overused. People get bored of it really easily, and for PvP and such, if someone sits at a grinder all day then after a while they can win a PvP match with their fists. All-in-all, I don't think it's the right plugin for our type of server at this time. But keep the suggestions coming, we love to hear the players' thoughts. ^-^ -Fludge87

And continuing on Derp's topic, We really like to keep the server vanilla like, and MCMMO sort of ruins this purpose, if ya know what I mean.

I agree with Cptn. McMMO is quite annoying. But I have been wanting to get a skills plugin that will record skills in things such as, mining, woodcutting, PvM, fishing, and reward you with a certain item from that skill. For example, you reach level 2 mining, you get a short msg saying 'You have reached level 2 mining!,' and then you're rewarded with like 2 iron ingots or what ever. No fireworks, no spam. And then having there be a leaderboard that players can check and form a sort of compitition. Either way, I don't think McMMO is that configable though.

What if we got a Jobs plugin for the server? Some jobs plugins (such as this one) allow players to have more than one job. This could add a leveling effect for players, and a simple way to earn money the more you play. I'm not too sure how well this would work with the economy, so I'm not sure that it's the best solution. I looked around for a few leveling plugins, and couldn't find much. Nearly every similar plugin incorporates skills as you level up, and look like they could become over powered. Unfortunately, none of the ones I could find appeared to have the ability to shut off the skills portion.

We used the jobs plugin a long time ago, but our previous owner kinda didn't set it up properly and players were getting deducted like -50.00 every minute. So we kind of have bad memories of that and haven't used it since. I would love to use it again, but for new players, setting it up can use a lot of explaining help. I do think that using this will soften up the grind though when let's say you're mining stone to buy your first shop plot. So, I'll have to see what everyone else thinks.

I remember that, and yeah, pretty annoying. As for jobs, I would love to give it a chance. I doubt it's the plugin, just the old owner's inexperience with anything to do with Mineraft.

Also, we commend you for posting a thread about the changes you want to see, we wish more players would do this!
